Set in the hiking and skiing region of Monte Baranci, with a view of the Sesto Dolomites, the Jora Hut is the perfect place to stop by for a bite to eat or to enjoy an elegant evening meal in an alpine setting
It isn’t just the exquisite cuisine of Markus Holzer that entices numerous visitors to the Jora Mountain Dining restaurant – our guests are also drawn to our wonderful location overlooking San Candido / Innichen, at an altitude of 1,325m.
Merging harmoniously with its surrounding natural environment, the Jora “Hut” is a real gem. At lunchtime and in the evenings, guests can enjoy the stunning view from our terrace and experience the unique atmosphere of our evening events.
How to reach the Jora Mountain Dining restaurant
By car:
- If you are coming from Verona or Innsbruck, travel via the Brennero motorway (A22) until you reach the Bressanone-Val Pusteria exit. From here, it is roughly 60km to San Candido.
- From Venice, travel via the Alemagna-Autobahn (A27) until Ponte nelle Alpi, and then via Cortina d’Ampezzo and Dobbiaco to San Candido.
- From East Tyrol/Lienz travel approx. 35km in the direction of the Austrian-Italian border, and then continue 6km until you reach San Candido.
- Once you reach San Candido, go to the carpark of the Monte Baranci / Haunold lift (Matthias Schranzhofer street no. 26). From here, you can reach us by foot, as described below.
For our themed evenings, we offer our guests a taxi service from the carpark of the chairlift to the hut.
