Jora Mountain Dining restaurant above San Candido

Sophisticated South Tyrolean cuisine in an alpine setting at an altitude of 1,325m, set within the Tre Cime / Drei Zinnen nature park in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Dolomites

Dear guests,
We would like to extend you a warm welcome to Jora Mountain Dining.
Overlooking San Candido and set within the heart of the Alta Pusteria, come and take a seat in the rustic, warm and homely ambience of our gourmet hut. During summer, you will find yourself on an alpine pasture, surrounded by the impressive mountains of South Tyrol – which you can admire from our sun terrace. During winter, on the other hand, you will find yourself in the midst of the ski slopes of the Monte Baranci / Haunold skiing region, set within the Three Peaks Dolomites area.

At lunchtime, enjoy our daily gourmet creations and South Tyrolean specialities, all made with products from local farmers. In addition, special theme evenings take place twice a week, where we spoil you with exceptional 4- to 6-course menus.
All dishes are prepared freshly by chef Markus Holzer and his team, using high-quality and natural ingredients.
Markus’ wife Johanna and his parents, Rosmarie and Tony, will be on hand to serve you.

We look forward to your visit!
Your family Holzer and team

The South Tyrolean rascal and pasta specialist, TV chef on the Italian cooking programme “La prova del cuoco”, author and member of “Culinaria Tirolensis”, greets his guests at Jora Mountain Dining.

This busy top chef has managed Jora Mountain Dining, the mountain hut with a restaurant, together with his family, since 2006. The restaurant has become an extremely popular destination for pleasure-seekers, and a paradise for pasta connoisseurs.
“Jora Mountain Dining” stands for a strong affinity with local dishes, for regional products and unique creations. When Markus Holzer begins to cook up a storm in his kitchen above San Candido / Innichen at an altitude of 1,325m, two of his main ingredients are passion and artisanal finesse. He loves to play with colours and shapes, and because of this every plate he produces is a little work of art, within which taste and beauty are lovingly combined.

Find out where your food comes from – from the local region, prepared freshly and seasonally.

We place great value on the provenance of the ingredients we use for our dishes. We primarily use products from local farmers – with a preference for organic agriculture.
For example, we purchase our delicious goat’s cheese, healthy lamb and beef as well as authentic South Tyrolean bacon from Andreas and Sonja Villgrater of the Unter-Oltl dairy.
